# Ways to use form workflows

What a form's workflow does and seven ways research teams use it, from recruiting with a screener to working with a recruiter.

A form's workflow decides what happens after someone submits it. On a consent form or agreement, you choose what happens when someone agrees. For example, you can show a page that explains what happens next, let them book a session or send them straight on to an unmoderated study. You can also write the page they see when they don't.

You set it up on the form's **Workflows** tab. Here are seven ways teams use it.

## Recruit for a study with a screener

Share a screener's link wherever you're recruiting, for example in a newsletter or on social media. People answer a few questions and see a thank-you page that tells them what happens next. You review their answers and invite the people who fit.

## Ask panellists extra questions for one study

Send a study screener to people from your panel when you need to know more for one study. Their answers stay with the study, not on their panel record. Use them to choose who to invite.

To save answers to people's panel records instead, use a [panel screener](https://participantkit.com/help/forms/panel-screeners).

## Ask for consent, then let people book a session

Send your consent form first. When someone agrees, send them to Calendly or your team's booking page to choose a time. Every session you run is with someone who has already agreed to take part.

## Run an always-on unmoderated study

Put your form's link at the start of an unmoderated study. When people agree, redirect them straight into the study after they verify their email address. Everyone who takes part is added to your study with a record of their consent.

## Grow your research panel

Share your panel's sign-up form on your website or in your product. After people confirm their email address, show them a welcome page that says what to expect. Or send them to a page of your own.

## Onboard people to a panel outside Participant Kit

Share a link to a consent form or NDA at the start of someone's journey. They sign before they join your panel, so you have a record of what they agreed to. Then redirect them to wherever your panel lives.

## Work with a professional recruiter

Share your form's link with your recruiter to pass on to the people they find. Everyone who signs is added to your study automatically, with a copy of what they signed. You can then track recordings and notes against each person.

## Key takeaways

💡 **Remember:** Each form has its own workflow, on its **Workflows** tab.

🧪 **Try:** Redirect people who agree straight into your unmoderated study.

⚠️ **Watch for:** If you share the form's link directly, people verify their email address before they're redirected.

⚡ **Quick tip:** Share one form link with your recruiter and everyone who signs lands in your study.
