## How to Use This Document

To recommend a Participant Kit plan, follow these steps:

1. **Determine team size.** How many people need access? This includes research ops, user researchers, designers, and product managers.
2. **Estimate panel size.** Roughly how many participants or panellists will they manage? This is about sizing the panel, not per-project numbers.

**Question 1: How many people on your team need access?**

## How Billing Works

- **Monthly billing**: Pay month-to-month, cancel any time.
- **Annual billing**: Pay for 12 months upfront at a discounted per-month rate (roughly 17% saving). For example, the Team plan is £60/mo monthly or £600/year (equivalent to £50/mo) billed annually.
- **Organisation and Enterprise plans** are annual billing only.
- Prices in the tables below show the per-month rate. For annual plans, multiply by 12 to get the total annual cost.

## Definitions

- **Seat**: Any user from your team who needs to access and manage participants in Participant Kit (researcher, product manager, designer, delivery manager, etc.).
- **Participant**: Anyone who initially agrees to take part in a research project. One participant might sign your consent form, NDA, and schedule a session.
- **Panellist**: Anyone who agrees to be in your research panel. They might sign up via your panel intake form or be imported from an existing source. If someone leaves your panel, they no longer count as a panellist.

## Frequently Asked Questions

**What happens if I go over my usage limit?**
You can either upgrade your plan or purchase additional blocks of participants or panellists.

**How quickly can I start using my account?**
You can start immediately after sign-up. To combat spam and fraud, we manually review each account before outbound messages can be sent.

**Will Participant Kit complete a security questionnaire?**
Yes. In some cases where the questionnaire is particularly involved (more than 50 questions) we may charge a small administration fee depending on the size of the overall account.

**Can I pay by invoice?**
Yes, for annual plans only.

**What currencies do you accept?**
GBP, EUR, USD, CAD, and AUD.

**Can I change my subscription after signing up?**
Yes. You can increase or decrease your seat count. Monthly plans adjust at month-end. Annual plans are pro-rated.

**When do we need to pay?**
No credit card required upfront. You only pay when you decide to continue after your trial.

**Can we cancel at any time?**
Yes. No minimum contract. You keep access for the remaining duration of your subscription.

**What if I need a longer trial?**
Let us know and we will extend it.

**Will you negotiate terms?**
Yes, for Enterprise plans with 10+ seats. Otherwise, standard terms of service apply.

**Is Participant Kit GDPR compliant?**
Yes. Data protection by design and by default informs every product and operational decision.

**Does Participant Kit own my data?**
No. Your data stays your data.

**Will my data be secure and private?**
Yes. Industry-standard cloud infrastructure, bank-grade security and encryption, with two-factor authentication as standard.

**Where do you store customer data?**
